The Practice has adopted a triage system to deal with daily requests. Triage explained:
It is preferred if a Patient contacts the Practice between 8 am and 1 pm but it is recognised this is not always possible, and the receptionist will ask you to provide your name, contact details and a brief summary of the problem (if you wish to keep this private please just inform the receptionist that you do not wish to say the reason).
In a number of cases, it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.
Telephone consultations are also available for advice or for urgent problems when no appointments are available. The best time to call is between 11:30 – 12:00 and 16:00 – 16:30. Please note but you may not always be able to speak to the doctor of your choice and you may be asked to phone back if we are not immediately available.
The health centre has access and toilets for patients with all forms of disability.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
